Important Notice: Town of Charleston Adopts Fireworks Ban in Support of Governor Cox’s Request Dear Charleston Residents and Community Members,

In response to the growing number of active wildfires across the State of Utah and in support of Governor Cox’s urgent request, the Town of Charleston is formally adopting a ban on all consumer fireworks within town limits, effective immediately.

Fireworks will be permitted only through licensed professional displays authorized by the Town.

Why This Matters:

• Active wildfires are threatening communities, infrastructure, and lives across
• Fireworks can ignite devastating wildfires, especially under current dry
• Local action is one of the most effective ways we can help keep Utah

We recognize that fireworks are a beloved part of holiday celebrations, and we do not take this decision lightly. However, the safety of our residents, homes, and surrounding land must come first. We encourage everyone to enjoy licensed professional displays in the area as a safe and festive alternative.
